I am thankful to be able to share my creations with all of my blog land friends and for all the inspiration I get from visiting all your blogs too. I am also thankful to have a wonderful family here, to share this day with.
Hello and BRRRRR..... it's been a really cold few days here in Texas and rainy too. I made some more cards, actually three of them. This first one I made about 2 wks. back but could not share it until today b/c I did not want the recipient, my dear friend Deloris to see before her birthday. Stamped ink a dink a do stamps on card stock to stick out behind the spellbinder die, added some polka dot tan card stock scrap and recollections flower was added with glue dot. The sentiment is from Ana Griffith that I had lying around. I then added a few bling stones to match. Deloris said she loved army green and brown so I hope she likes this card. Happy Birthday D!
The 2nd card below is for one of my close friends, Buffy. She is very Girlie and loves Blue. So this is what I did for her.
The stamped image is from Stamping Bella. I stamped it in blue Momento ink and colored it up with Copics, then added some lite blue Stickles to the dress also. Flower is from recollections and the bling and feathers are from Prima. And last but not least this card is for my male friend Greg and who is also Buffy boyfriend. I never know what to do for guys so I hope this is manly enough in color anyway! I used Elizabeth craft stickers and microfine glitter and colored with copics. My DH says it will pass the test, so i guess that means it is good to go! Sorry about the flash glare, no matter what I did it had that glare in the middle, sorry.....
Well that all I have for right now. I still need to make 3 more birthday cards for my Dec.birthday friends . And can you believe I still have not got even 1/2 of my Christmas cards done yet. Guess I better get on the stick and get busy! Well have a warm and happy Sunday. Thanks again for coming by for a visit. Until next time Big warm hugs
Hello all. Just popping in to share 2 cards. The first one is from my weekly challenge for the group I belong to Card Camp. The challenge was to use black and gold and bling. And here is what I did. After the fact i thought maybe it had to much, what do you think??
And now this 2nd card is for a challenge over at Gecko Galz, it's for the November Color Challenge - Fall colors. And it will be going to my parents as their Thanksgiving Card. I colored the digi image with Copics and the die that is doily like is from Heartfelt Creations and the die that the digi is layered on is from spellbinders. Added some bling and it was done. It really says Fall to me........
That's it for now . Thanks so much for popping in and do say hello, I love to hear from everyone!
Hello from beautiful fall weather Texas. Today is absolutely a gorgeous day outside. Did a lot of housework and made lunch then went for walk with MIL. Was really a nice walk. Now I want to share a few cards I made in the past few days. First card is done with stamps and stickers, very CAS, but still a fun card. The second card was done with the outline stickers and microfine glitter, yes I am still tring hard to get it down. Colored glitter with copic markers. Going to enter in a few challenges for the heck of it. Enjoy!
Happy Friday! It's another dreary gray cloudy day here. I have been playing around with Peel off Stickers, micro-fine glitter and Copic markers. So far I have only made 1 that turned out the way I actually wanted it to and tossed 3 others. So today I thought I'd share the card that I made that has a few issues, it's still an OK card, but just not as great as I would of liked. Apparently I need a little more practice with this card technique. Well anyways here is my not so perfect card!
So can you see where the purple color is leaching out into the yellow? I think maybe I used to much pressure when coloring with the copics. It's not horrible but it could be better! All products except the card base and black stone bling are from Elizabeth Crafts. I love this technique, just need to practice it a bit. Elizabeth Crafts has some cool outline stickers and their transfer sheets and dbl sided tape sheets are all very reasonable. If you have never checked Elizabeth Crafts out, you should. They have a great gallery and face book page with tons of pics for ideas. I actually learned about this technique from a dear online card making Friend, Deloris. She sent me a card that was "gorjuss" earlier in the year and I have been wanting to try to make one since. Well this was just to show that even someone who has been card making for some time has trouble sometime too, LOL
So this card was made for the Tuesday Color Challenge over at Outlawz. here is a pic of the color theme:
At least my colors look right, even if the card is not perfect, LOL!
This card is being entered in the following Challenge(s):
Well hope everyone is doing well today. It is still raining like crazy here off and on and they say it will continue thru Wednesday sometime. As promised here are the last of my fall / thanksgiving cards, at least I think it is......LOl.
Entered this card, above, in the following Challenge(s):
All 3 cards where made with a new Die that I just had to have when I stopped by Archiver', it's made by Taylored Expressions and it's called Quarter Foil. It cuts so beautifully, used it in my Grand Calibur. I glued the die to some patterned scrap paper attached with glue to card fronts and then embellished with recollections items. They where quick to make and I am happy with the result. Hope you enjoy seeing them. And thanks again for stopping by my little piece of the online crafting world. Please do leave me some love, I read them all and do my best to reciprocate the love. Until next time Have a fun crafty day!
Hello everyone. I had to play and create a card for the Tuesday Color Challenge over at OUTLAWS Challenge site. I have missed playing along for a very long time and the colors this last week were just to pretty to not play, so I made my card and just got it in on the last day, today, better late than never as the saying goes, LOL! The color theme is below and my card follows, the twist was to make it Autumn or Fall related.
Also used this card for my weekly card group challenge, where we had to use 1 stamp 3 times. Some card friend will be getting this as a RAK soon. I will be adding the other few fall cards later today or tomorrow so be sure to check back soon. :
Happy Monday. Man it is raining by the bucket loads here. Good day to stay in and play in my stash. Today I have a Fall card to share. I don't really make a lot of Halloween cards but I love to make Fall cards....... So here it is:
This card was made with Bazzil card stock, Spellbinder die, Elizabeth Craft outline sticker, and Glitter Ritz micro-fine glitter. Colored the glitter very lightly with Copics. Then added a few bead bling pieces.
Hi there all you crafty peeps. As promised I am back with some of the cards I made while I was AWOL, Lol. Not in any particular order here they are.
As you can see I am getting Christmas cards started now. I usually send out about 60 handmade cards.....so I have start early, LOL.Well that is it for now. Working on some Fall cards now will show them soon. Thanks for coming by and I am so happy to be back blogging again...... Be back soon
Hello, Hello, Hello, and a very Happy Friday to all my crafty friends. I am finally back to getting a little crafty. Not sure if I mentioned before that my DH and talked my parents into selling their home in Florida and moving here to Texas. Well they did and it sold in August. Now I should explain why we wanted them closer. They are getting up in age (77 & 89) and my Step dad had Alzhiemer as does my MIL that lives with me and DH. My mum is a bit younger than pop and they really had no one to assist with the house needs and not mention with their health needs. So as of Aug. 19th they have moved to Texas. They wanted to rent, so we found them a very nice duplex on the lake about 9 minutes from my house. It was a hard move but so worth it. Pop has fallen several times and it was awesome to be able to run over and pick him up for mom. And yes we have ordered a gait belt to make it possible for her to get him up. I believe they are happy here now, it took a while for them to feel like this is home, but they are adjusting fairly well. I think it's me and DH getting used to have to run them everywhere from doctors, to shopping to just plain gettingout, since pops can no longer drive and mom never has driven. It's starting to all come together, I think. And I am happy to be able to see them everyday if I want. Here's a picture of them the first weekend they arrived, we had gone to lunch at a local pub.
And then one of me and my Mum, isn't she just adorable.
So that is why I have been AWOL for a bit. I have made a few cards here and there though, will be posting them soon. Oh and my mum is a crafter also, so we can share all our stash now, yippee! OK now I will leave you with a card I made for my card groups weekly challenge. It was a card we hade to case and here is mine.
Hello and welcome back to another CWLC Challenge. This week it's ANYTHING GOES! So that can't be to hard for you to come on over and join in the fun, right?? Our sponsor this time around is Digi Darla, they one of my favorite companies too. I picked this relaxing digi called "Beach and a book". I made a card base from the spellbinders die (grand ovals) and also used it for cutting out the image on. Colored the image with Copics, ran it through my Grand Cali bur and before taking the die off image I sponged on some Desert Sand ink from Momento. Attached image with glue runner and added 3-d dimensionals to top and bottom. And of course you all know I have to have some Bling somewhere on my cards..........So here is the finished card.
Be sure to stop by our blog over at CWLC Blog and see what fun things the design team has made to get your creative juices going. Thanks again for coming by and I love reading all your comments too, they sure do make my day. Until next time, Keep on crafting
Howdy and Happy Monday everyone. Thanks for stopping by today to see my newest DT Post for CWLC Blog. This week's theme is "Something Sweet" and our sponsor this week is Limited Runs. The image I used from them is called Cinnamon Swirl. I decided to print the digi on the larger side and make it the actual card. Colored the straw and cup with Copics then added some blue and red Stickles to the topping. Then I made a small tan bow from ribbon and added to cup with glue dot. The inside says "Have a sweet birthday". This one has been mailed off to a sweet male friend in a card group I'm in, who makes awesome cards, for his Birthday. I think he will like it, at least I hope so. Now here's the card:
I hope you decided to join us this week for this fun, fun challenge and for a chance at a great prize. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Now pop over to the CWLC Blog for some more sweet inspiration from my other team mates. Until Next Time Have a Sweet Day.......
Hello there crafty friends. I have 2 cards to share with you all, that I made with WASHI TAPE. Now I have a whole basket of these rolls of tape, but do I use them enough, NO. Is it just me or do you all have things you just plain get and forget about.... why is that?? Well any way I need a couple more Thank you cards so I pulled out that basket of washi tape and here is what I came up with. The green and red card is for Card Camp an Online group I'm in and our challenge this week was to make a card (not a xmas card) using traditional christmas red and green with a touch of gold or silver. And here they are........
OK, so there you have 2 washi tape cards, boy these where quick and fun create. Well that's all for now. Oh I almost forget to say Howdy and a big TX welcome to all my new followers. Hope you stop by often and leave some
Hi there all you crafty peeps in blog land! It's me, Chris, back again with another DT challenge card for CWLC Blog. Challenge #53 is "Back to School" and our sponsor this week is Cedar Chest Designs. This cute little girl image I used is named "Shy Alice". Don't forget to pop on over to the Created With Love Challenge Blog to see all the fun things my design team mates have come up with to inspire you to play along. This was a fairly easy card to make, just colored the digi image with copics. Glued some scrap polka dot paper to bottom of Kraft card base and then added some school type dimensional stickers from Recollections and the digi too. And as you all know I have a very hard time not using bling, sooo had to add some lite pink pearl swirls. I also added some faux stitching around card edges with red copic marker. And there you have it a back to school card. This one will be going to a dear friend, Laura, who is a elementary school teacher along with a baggy full of box tops for the school to send in........Hope you feel inspired enough to join in the challenge this week.

Embossed the back ground on plain red paper with a Cuttle bug folder. Edged the white card base with red Marvy ink pad. Glued musical background and digi image down with glue stick. I used a pocket template from another dear friend, Deloris, in my card group and printed it on Denim look paper added some faux stitching and glued to card base, cut small denim square and stamped Happy Birthday with some more stitching and glued in place. Then glued the flowers and feathers as if popping out of the pocket. And of course some bling on the pocket and card corners. Touched up the card edges with blue Marvy ink pad. There you have it......
Afraid that's all I have for today. off to do a bit of house stuff I have neglected, YUK house work, but someone has to do it right! Thanks for popping by have a great day.
Hello everyone. Soo this week's DT post and Challenge over at CWLC Blog is "For dogs". Your creations need to have something to do with dogs. Our wonderful sponsor this week is Stamp N Doodle. And the digi image I used from them is called "A dogs work is never done." I colored the image of the mice and dog with colored pencils and then backed with some bazzill paper to match then attached this onto a white card base. Made the sentiment with a Spellbinders tag and used yellow chalk to highlight a bit around the words. attached with foam dots then I sprayed a very light layer of pearl shimmer mist all over card front. After it dried I put on the cute summer beach accessories with foam dots. And that's it all done. Hope you like it and hope your staying cool where ever you are today. Hope to see your creations over on the challenge site.
Have great Monday. Unitl next time, Stay Cool......
Happy Monday all. Just popping in to share a card I made for a friend in a card group I belong to. I am unsure where I got this digi from. I know a card making friend sent it to me but when I filed it it away a managed to forget to mark who sent it and where it was from. Sorry. I do love this cute cat though....
Happy Monday Crafty Friends. I'm back with another DT Challenge post for Created With Love Challenges Blog. This is one of my favs card actually, not sure why except that I love green....Anyway this week our sponsor was Bugaboo Stamps and This challenge, #50 is "Anything Goes". And the image I rec'd is called "Love Conquers All". I printed the digi off and added just a bit of color to the flowers and the butterflies with Copics . Then I matted my white card with black and green bazzill card stock scraps & attached the digi with double sided tape. Oops,I also added some green polka dot and striped washi tape to the green card stock before adding the digi. Then I decided of course it needed more pop, I love my bling!!. So I added the bow and attached with glue dot. Then I thought how about some bling, on went the pearl flourishes. And I know you it is not visible in the picture but I did add a very light mist of Pearl Shimmer spray. And viola, it's done. Hope you like it.
Alrightie, that's all I have right now for you. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to say hello and tell me how your doing and what your up to. Have a wonderful week. Until Next Time, Tootles all
Morning Peeps..... I'm back with another fun card for my DT Post over at Created with Love Challenge Blog. This week our sponsor is the wonderful "Delicious Doodles Company". The image I used from them is called "Daisies & Butterflies". Now the theme for Challenge 49 is Red & Yellow Birthday. I made a basic red card base and ran it thru my Grand Caliber with the Polka Dots Cuttle bug Embossing Folder. I printed and fussy cut the digital image and colored with my Copics. I then cut a small square of yellow card stock to use as backing behind the image. Added some black bling and a Happy Birthday sentiment and there you have it. Let me know what you think, OK. Now here's my card:
Our challenge runs for one week as always and please remember that you can only enter your creation in a "total" of 10 different challenges for it to be eligible for our challenge prizes. Thanks very much for following the rules.
Happy Monday! Time again for my DT card for CWLC Blog. This weeks' Challenge theme is "For the Girls" and our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps. I used the digi image called " Stellas' Tidbits - Still Hot" from bugaboo . I love this image it just makes me laugh..... Used Copics to color image and used up some scarp card stock. Also got out my CG and used a spellbinder tag die for the sentiment and added some color to it with some gelato ink. Then I added a bunch of pearl bling, what girl doesn't love pearls right? And here is my card:
Hope this card inspires you to create something Girly and join in the fun over at the CWLC Blog this week. Pop over there now and check out all my other teamies cards, they are all very talented and I am sure you'll be inspired to join us, at least I hope so! Thanks for coming by today and have a wonderful week. Until next time Tootles
Popping by to share the card I made for my Parents. They are getting older and I finally convinced them to move here close to me and to my surprise they agreed. They will be here in August, Yay!! I am so excited to have them so close by, they'll be 10 minutes from me. And now here is the card to Welcome them to Texas.
I am using it as my challenge card for the card group I am in too. All in all I am happy about how it came out and I know they will love it. Even if it has a few shakey hand ink mishaps, from my arthritis, they will still be touched by it! I can't wait to have them here.....
Evening Peeps! I have been busy crafting cards this week, still need to finish 3 DT cards and come up with a Welcome to TX card for my parents who are moving here, YAY! And DH is away til the weekend so I have a lot more time to craft. The card I am going to show you now I made for my card group challenge. It will be a RAK (random act of kindness) for someone in another Card Group....... First I Punched the border with Friskars Bubble punch, added a backer card colored with Copics to match the tiny buttons (from Micheal's) added down the side in bright cheery summer colors. I then embossed the buttons and stitching with Cuttlebug EF's (embossing folders) and lightly colored them with chalk. Added alittle faux stitching around the card edges and then the sentiment was attached. That's it easy peasy......... So here it is:
I still have a lot of cards a to make and share so it's going to be a busy week crafting here :) Thanks for popping by and viewing my cards, makes me happy to share all my creations with you all. Until next time, Don't let the bed bugs bite...................
