Hello. I decided to practice some water coloring with my Art Impressions stamps today. Made 3 different scenes.... Tell me what you think, Please...... I plan to make them into Cards. Thinking I need less water on the brush? Any I advice....
Hello there.... How is everyone? It's been really hot here in my neck of the world....but I love warm weather luckily, LOL. I made a fun birthday card for my niece who will 17 next week. She is quiet a good artist, she draws so well, it amazes me. So I made her this card. Used water color markers scribbled on craft mat and sprayed with water then used a paint brush to tap bits of color all over the card then added the jar with brushes and the sentiment, both with foam tape. Oh and I added glossy accents to the jar and a bit of silver paint pen to the metal rim... And then I made a booboo. I dropped the ink pad on the bottom left corner of the card and almost screamed. But I decided to ink up the edges and see if that made it look any better, well not great but Hubby says it looks like it was meant to be there. And being I need this in the mail today it will stay as it is, even if I a think it's not right. No time for a do over this time..... So here is the card, tell me what ya think about the ink booboo... Yay or Nay?
Hi all. I found myself with some time today so you know I had to get some cards made. So for today's cards I made a frame for one of the scenery cards I did a while back. I just wet the paper and added Tombow marker ink with a paint brush and let it do it's own thing. Then cut a circle in the middle with a die and cut to fit the scenery, I love it. Then just added the Happy Birthday sentiment. This going to a male friend who loves being at the lake..... The next card is for an online friend who is just a super lady and I wanted to let her know it.... I used Art Impression stamps, water colored with Tombow markers and cut the scene out with a circle stitched die. Then cut two larger circles and attached them to card . Here's hoping she likes it. I even put her name on the wooden post. I am pretty happy with both cards. Now to clean up the mess and get ready to my Mama out to dinner in a bit......... Thanks for popping by. Until Next Time, Tootles
Hi crafty peeps. I know It's been a few days longer than usual but it is summer and I am a Pet Sitter and life gets crazy busy for me this time of year. But with that said I did find time to make 2 quick cards and here they are. I have no time to write all that went into them but should you want info just email me and I'll be happy to oblige......
Thanks so much for popping by, hope you enjoy my cards. Time for me to run, pets are awaiting!
Hello again crafty ones..... I have been wanting to try my hand at some scenery stuff. I have very few
Stamp Scapes and a few more Art Impression stamps so I was able to make 2
different scenes. Here is what I stamped out. Need a little more
practice but I still like these. Not sure they will be made into cards
or not, but I like what i am doing so far . What do y'all think, Keepers or try again?
Well hello all. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer so far. I made a cute Baby Shower card for friend's Daughter in law. I am going to her shower Saturday morning so I had to make a card! We know it's a girl she's having & I went with the nursery colors for the card. I used Stampin" Up layered Bear stamp in pink, grey and black distress inks. I also stamped a stripey background (Catherine Pooler stamp) in the pink and grey ink then added the scrap paper and popped the bear up with foam tape after fussy cutting it out. Added the pink stamped bow from the bear set also. I think it's cute if I do say do my self. I added the the pink homemade bling as an after thought. So there you have it. What do you think, Cute ? Thanks for popping by and I'll be back soon with more to share. Have a great and hopefully crafty week! Until Next time Tootles
Hey there all you crafty peeps. Thought I'd share a really quick card I made for mine and Hubby's 27th Anniversary later this week. Our colors when we married where grey and burgundy so I used that as my theme.... Used a digital Image I had printed a few years back and an Anna Griffin Pre-printed background card. And that's it. Oh I also added a vellum strip, stamped Happy Anniversary and a few grey bling pieces! All done. I am happy with it and he will like it and that's all that matters, right? Thanks for looking and commenting.
Evening crafty friends. I went out tp grab the mail earlier today to find a plastic bag from the local Post Office telling me they were sorry but my mail had been damaged by their machine.... And of course it was one of my cards I was pretty proud of. So I had to quickly create another birthday card for my friend. Below is the damaged one from the P.O and then the new one I am getting out in tomorrow's mail and you bet it is going in a padded mailer! I used the Art Impression water color stamps again and did some water coloring. I am very happy with the new card to, almost like it as much as the last one. Oh well at least I made a card today right, LOL..... have a wonderful evening all.
Hi Peeps, Made a few quick cards this afternoon as time was a factor and I got these all done in less than 1 hour... Works for me, LOL. The TY card is for a Dog Walking client who is moving a way, the Bow Shaker is for friend and the Yellow Shaker is a graduation card. The shakers where made from a Kit by Anna Griffin that my Mom has and I asked if I could take a few pieces and of course she said Yes...I have a wonderful Mom.... Now for the cards.....
Hello everyone. Found myself with some time to get my Ma's Mother's Day Card done. Not my best coloring but I still like it. Used an Embossing Folder that came with some card magazine....all in all I think it came out nice. And Mom will love it. The tulip image is a digital stamp from Power Poppy, I love their images...And now the card. Oh and it is a bit hard to see but I added some glitter pen glitter to the flowers as Mom loves everything glittery, LOL......
Evening y'all. I have one more birthday card to share. I made this last night when I could not sleep and decided to get up and make a card. I am pretty happy with it. Use Kitchen Sink Stamps and Marvy Le Plume Markers. It's going to another card maker friend for her birthday. I just can not get enough of water coloring these small scenes..... well here's the card:
So that's the last birthday card for now, off to start Mother's day cards now...... Until next time Tootles
Hello and Happy Saturday all..........I almost forgot I had wanted to send a get well card to my Aunt who had some surgery on Thursday. Well I wanted it to go out in today's mail so I had to make something quickly. So I went back to my tried and true outline stickers and double side tape and Glitter Ritz. Just peeled the outline sticker off attached to one side of dble sided tape. Then added glitter ritz and burnished it a bit. Then fussy cut the image down to size and peeled off the other side of tape and adhered to card front. Done! And now it's in the mail as planned, love it when I actually get something out on time.... LOL
Thanks for popping in and looking. Have a fab weekend! Hope your doing something crafty in one way or another :)

Now I want to show you what I have been working one the past day or two.... made some water color card images that I will using to make cards. Used WC paper and embossed the stamp with clear them added the colored embossing powder and heated it up. They where both colored with Zig Markers, water and paint brush, still have to finish as you see there in the picture. I am very happy with how they are turning out. Will share the cards when I get them all done.... Have a fabulous day! Until next time
Hello all! Boy have had a such a great week with Happy Mail. I just rec'd this nice set of stamps and cute peacock stamped card from my "Secret Sisath over on Stamp Nation...I love it all and I can not wait to ink up that pretty Stamp'in up floral stamp. I also made 2 Easter cards today, used up scraps of Brusho paper I made week or so back, outline stickers and some images peeps have sent me over the past couple years. I had limited time this week so I did not have enough time to stamp like I wish I could...So these were quick and easy to throw together and I am very happy with them, I hope that the receivers of them like them as well......... OK well dinner is calling my name so gotta run. Have a fabulous rest of your day. Enjoy your weekend where ever you are and what ever you do. We are making Homemade Pizza tomorrow at my Mom's.... YUM!
Well I just had to attempt another water color card with all the new goodies my friend Helen sent me... I still think I am using to much water on my brush at times, but I am learning. This one is going to friend in another card group..... Gotta run house work needs done before I can get back to crafting,,,,
Hello crafty peeps. I was a recipient to wonderful box of goodies form a new dear sweet crafting friend. Her name is Helen Hannum. I met her in the face book group "Stamp Junkies". It's a fabulous group, in my opinion. And I have left all other my groups and love this one the best. Anyways, Helen sent a bunch of water color markers, paint brushes, palette paper, watercolor paper pad, cool sentiment stamps and a sweet card and note. All because she saw that I was loving doing the Art Impressions watercolor scenes..... She does fabulous ones herself and not to mention she does spectacular drawings too. I can not thank her enough for this lovely thoughtful gift..... I will have to think of something special to do for her :) Love ya Helen and Thank You! Here's the loot she sent me:
Now to make some cards with all my goodies, that is after the house work is done, maybe, LOL. Until next time Tootles
So I found myself with a few minutes today so I made the card with the water color image I made last night. Decided to make it an Easter Card for my Hubby's Aunt.... I love the way it came out...Hope you do too.
Good Morning peeps.... I tried my hand at water coloring some Art Impressions wc stamps. I used some water color paper from Hobby lobby. It's a cold process / 140 lb paper called "Master's Touch". I like it. It accepts water well and so far no warping. I stamped images with Zig Clean Color Markers and used a #5 synthetic brush, it was a bit bendy so will try different one next time around. I am still learning but it turned out alright. I am going to make a card with it and will post after it's done, but here is it.
Well have a fun crafty Thursday. Thanks for popping by too. Unilt next time Tootles
Howdy y'all. Made a rather pretty card for a friend's up coming birthday next Wednesday. She is super sweet and I just love her. I hope she likes the card, she does not like a lot of fuss about her day so I always just mail her cards and leave it at that. I used Brusho Powders for the background and then stamped the flower in Momento tuxedo black. Stamped one extra flower and used foam tape to raise it up a bit. Added some colored bling dots to flower centers just cause it needed something.... Used some glittery paper and black to bring it all together. then fussy cut a little banner and stamped Happy birthday. The inside, I used the same black and a light lavender paper, layered and stamped one lone flower in one corner to finish the card off. I am really digging this one. Hope y'all like it too. Well be sure to pop by again soon as I am making several more cards this weekend hopefully......
and now for the card:
Oh I forgot I also stamped the envy too.... Thanks for popping by. See you again soon.
Hi Peeps, here is a super quick card I just made for a Pen Pal swap over on Stamp Nation. Used one of the alcohol ink backgrounds I made over the weekend and used a very old floral stamp that I love and the sentiment is from Her arts form long ago also. But i do believe it came out pretty nice! Also here is a picture of the assorted backgrounds I did with my alcohol inks. Just had not played with them in such a long time and came across them when looking for something else and thought why not!
Well that's it folks. Thanks bunches for stopping by and I hope you'll leave a comment and let me know what you think of these.
Hello all. I wanted to make some water color backgrounds so I pulled out my Brusho Powders and made these backgrounds. I am thrilled with how they came out. I still have one more panel left and no idea what I wanna do with it yet, ahh well..... Anyway here is what I did. I used a stamp I have had forever from Stampin Up, this perty peacock, don't ya just love her? The other is a hero arts floral stamp.
Well was just so happy with these I just had to share with y'all.... Thanks for popping by.
